Try Running the Tap
There’s a reason jokes about waterfalls and streams are so popular when you tell your friends you have to pee. The sound of running water can actually stimulate your child’s need to pee.
Now, running the tap or the bath won’t magically make your child have to pee; they already have to be pretty close to needing the toilet in order for it to work. However, as you are closely tracking their toilet activity, you will know when it is close to the time they will have to go again.
It may not work 100% of the time, but it can be something to try if you feel like your child has to go but just can’t seem to turn that switch on.
