Ask for Help
Moms are notorious for feeling as if they should be able to handle everything all the time with their babies. However, there are too many moms that experience burnout or have emotional breakdowns when they can’t get past their pride and simply ask for help.
During the first few weeks after birth, it is highly recommended that you have someone with you 24/7 – your spouse or another family member, like mom – so they can help while you are recovering. Your body needs rest, so climbing the stairs or jumping up for every diaper change may be out of the question as it takes a toll on your body.
Don’t feel ashamed if you find you need help. There is nothing wrong with asking or admitting you need an extra hand. If you can get past the mindset that you need to do everything yourself, you will find yourself very thankful for the help.
